  Steve's place is lovely and I can't recommend it highly enough. The road to zeballos is an old logging road and the town itself doesn't have a big appeal to most people which works totally in your favour - the minute you get out on Steve's boat you have the whole place to yourself. It's like Tofino but more stunning scenery with black bears, humpbacks and sea otters a plenty.

  Steve is super knowledgable about the area as he's been there for such a long time and has some great insight. His lodge is beautiful and you will feel right at home the minute you get in. And as a bonus you can see black bears fishing in the creek from thw back deck.

  I have been fishing with Steve for about 5 years. Have always come home with my limits! I would totally recommend fishing here! This is my families yearly trip and it stocks my freezer until the following year. We left with about 100 lbs of Salmon, Ling Cod and Rock Fish this year. All good filets that are vacuum packed.

  I went to experience a sea otter watching tour and we saw loads! The best place on Vancouver Island to see them and you get a great small group experience on Steve's boat. Would highly recommend it.
